Riders guide their horses through a challenging obstacle course designed to simulate tasks you’d encounter on a working ranch—things like opening gates, crossing bridges, dragging objects, navigating tight turns, and handling varied terrain. What makes it “extreme” is the combination of technical obstacles and speed. Competitors are scored on both how fast they complete the course and how well they perform each obstacle, with penalties for mistakes like knocking objects, refusing obstacles, or unsafe handling.
